Chamomile
Matricaria chamomilla
A small daisy of fields and roadsides, with a domed yellow centre. Its name comes from the Greek chamaimēlon, “earth apple”, after its scent.
It flowers from spring to summer and is picked by hand for the classic infusion. It is also the flower that gives our studio its name.
It smells sweet and warm, of ripe apple and freshly cut hay, with a soft hint of honey.
